My Birthday!

Alright, so I'm about a week late on this one.  Better late then never I guess.  

I was able to go to Lunch at The Picnic Company with the fam.  It was so yummy!  Thanks Hope for treating both Tyler & I!  Before lunch Toms & I went down to shop a little in the shops of downtown Mesa.  Unfortunately I didn't find anything, but it's always fun to see what's in the shops.  

After lunch Toms & I headed over to Oregano's to meet up with Kristy & her clan of the little red's.  She treated me to a yummy pazooki!  I just love those things!  What a perfect midday treat!  and it was so fun seeing all of them.  Thanks for driving all the way out to Tempe to celebrate with me.  I tried taking a few pics but my darn camera died right as we were trying to take one.  Bummer!

After that I met up with my MIL to go and get a facial.  She dropped me off and took care of Toms while I stayed and relaxed.  It was heaven.  I haven't had a facial in ages!  I need to get back into the swing of good skin care.  Thanks Mom for treating me, it was fabulous!!!

Then, Toms & I headed home to take a small snooze before Tyler got home.  Then we were able to go back to my In-Laws for some yummy tacos for dinner.  Then we just hung out at their house all night.  It was lots of fun and a great, very eventful day!  

We headed to cold stone on the way home for another yummy treat.  {No cake, but I guess I'll live!}  Then I was able to scrap a little and watch Project Runway and then Top Design.  What a great way to end the day!  

Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun day!  You only turn "30" once I guess.  Tyler also threw me a FUN Surprise Birthday Party the weekend before.  He did great and luckily I had showered and got ready.  I have lots of fun pics from that evening that I'll get around to posting soon.  Until then, here's a few of the fun things that I got for my Birthday.

The top pick is of course the large mess I always end up making while I craft.  I know Tyler just loves it when I get in this mood!  Then the fun project and on the side is all my fun Halloween decor.  It's getting so close to put it all up!  I can't hardly wait.  I'll probably start taking things out this week.  It's close enough, right!?

Dane's Birthday Lunch

So as if we hadn't had enough of each other, we all met up Monday for lunch @ Rosa's to Celebrate Dane's Birthday.  {Note: there are a lot of September birthdays!}

It was great fun and it all came together so fast and everyone was able to make it!  Even Papa who works on the way other side of town!  Toms was being such a ham for the camera, as always and just making everyone laugh when he would hold the camera up to his face and say "Cheese" as if he was taking a picture.  So cute!

After wards Alyson & I went into Fallas Parades to see if there were any good bargains.  They actually had a ton of good accessories throughout the place but I had to leave because I really needed to go to the bathroom... and I WASN"T going in there!  Anyway, stop by if you want to search out a few good deals.

So, Happy Birthday Dane!  Hope your day was filled with lots of laughter, good company and yummy food.

Emma's Baptism

This past Sunday our sweet little Emma was Baptized.  She is just the cutest little thing with such a bright and fun personality.  She is so helpful and just fun to be around.

We had a great time, everyone was there!  They had like 100 people, most of the kids!  The baptism was short and sweet, then we headed back to her house for some yummy ice cream and conversations.  Toms just loves going to their house, there is always so much going on and kids running all over the place.  A toddlers paradise!  

Congratulations Miss Emma, what a fun new age you are coming into.  We are so proud of you for making such righteous choices.  We love you & Happy Birthday!!!

Jill's Baby Shower

This actually happened LAST week.  But in all my craziness I'm just getting to it now.

It was tons of fun, she had a GREAT turn out, with LOTS of great gifts and cute new things for her little boy.  Doesn't she look so cute next to the food table?  Love that belly!  Her Mother-In-Law was kind enough to provide Mi Amigos for us to munch on and we had lots of other help from all the girls with bringing yummy desserts and drinks to enjoy.  Thanks everyone who helped out, it was a fun shower and hopefully it will help Jill feel a little more prepared for this new little one coming into their lives.  Good Luck with a BOY Jill!  They are so fun!

Finally found some time to scrap and actually upload them to the galleries.  Yeah for me.  Of course I'm still sitting in my G's at 12:13 pm.  Oh well, we can have a few days like this every once and awhile, right!?

Sorry Johnny, I know how much you LOVE my scrapbooking LO's!  I've got a great post coming with all my fun Birthday stuff.  You'll enjoy that!  Hopefully it will get done next.  Or a shower, not sure!

Gone are the days...

so last night as we were sitting on the couch getting ready to calm down and go to bed.  Tyler was playing with Tommy Boy and noticed (what I've noticed a long time before) that his front teeth are starting to go a little bucky.  So we decided right then and there that it's time to say goodbye to the bink.  I had planned on doing it when he was two and since that is fast approaching, well we thought why wait?  

{Note: the flipping off of the middle finger, Kristy we are also teaching our kids early} His "Normal" routine was get his baba AND binky at the same time.  Lie on the couch in the same spot and down the baba then toss it to the side and insert binky.

We've only been giving it to him at sleeping times and church (to keep him quite and happy).  But last night Tyler just told him that the binky went bye bye.  It was a little hard getting him to fall back to sleep in the middle of the night.  He woke a couple of times whining for awhile, but I was able to rock him back to bed and he did ok.  Not great, just ok.  The main problem is that usually he falls asleep on the couch with Tyler then I take him and put him into his crib.  He usually stays asleep during this process but last night was out of routine without the binky so he woke right up(wanting the bink, of course).  Anyway, I tried to wait in the room for him to fall back to sleep but I was a bit impatient and just wanted to get some sleep myself, so he ended up in our bed ALL night.  Bummer!  This usually happens around 3 or so but I was tired.  Anyway, I'm afraid I'm going to need to spend some serious time letting him scream himself to sleep in his crib.  No binky and no Mommy.  That'll be a tough week!  Anyway, wish me luck in keeping with it.  Last night I almost gave in and just let him have the bink so he'd go back to sleep.  I hope I can keep my cool and not give in. 

So Bye, Bye Binky.  I'll miss you most of all!

Domestic Goodness

Alright, I've changed my mind.  For my birthday I want EVERYTHING in Domestic Bliss!  If you haven't been in lately you must go and check out all the new stuff!  It looks so darling with all the fall decor and spooky Halloween fun.  You must go and check it out.  Even if it's just a quick window shop.

Also, tomorrow is a perfect opportunity to stop in.  We are having our "Back To School Bash"  and the best thing about it is that it's completely FREE!  There will be a few make and take classes offered.  One taught by the ever so creative Heather Hales.  She'll be teaching a fun fabric button magnet.  They are so cute!  and did I mention FREE!  Also, I will be doing some fun beaded bookmarks, again for FREE!  and Tiffany will be doing cute personalized rulers for the kids.  Also, FREE!  Reachel will also be teaching a mini class on the right jean for your body type.  Julie will be doing a mini class on proper make-up application and Whitney will be handing out goody bags for the kids and Mom's.  

So come stop on by anytime from 10:00 til 2:00 and see what we are all about.  It should be lots of fun and a great excuse to come down to the studio to see all the fun projects we have lined up for the fall.  There are some seriously cute things going on in the place!

Craft Night

So yesterday I worked all day on trying to get some projects done that I've been meaning to do.  I need to get my schedule up for November at the Studio and I've been wanting to do an Advent Calendar for years.  I decided it would be such a fun class to teach so I worked all day long to get it done and this was the finished product.  It turned out so fun!  Ya think?  I also needed to work on my Niece's Baptism book for this coming Sunday.  The picture on the top right is what a HUGE mess of crafting makes when I'm in the zone!  I know it was probably killing Tyler, but I need to clean it all up today anyway, I'm throwing a baby shower for one of my best friends tonight.  Anyway, gotta get working on that now, but wanted to share my fun new toys with everyone.

Groom Creek

So on Saturday Toms & I decided to drive up to Prescott and hang out with my Mother-In-Law & Tiff.  The boys had their first ASU football game, so instead of just hanging around the house all day I thought I'd get out of the heat and play a bit.  We had such a great time.  Here are some fun pics from the day.  There's is a great big park area for the kids to play in with swings and lots of grass.  It was so nice just hanging out and letting Toms run around and have lots of fun outside.  The weather was great!  We went into town to eat that night and then made a trip to Target.  Good old Target.  It was a little crazy with all the little ones, but it helped pass the time.  We rented a movie and just spent the evening relaxing.

The next day we woke up and went to church.  By then Spencer and Papa had made it up.  We went to church and then came back to make some sandwiches and go to the park for a picnic, BUT by the time we made it back to the cabin it was pouring down rain!  I've never seen so much rain!  It was just so fun.  Running up to the house from the car we were all soaked to death.  It was so fun just hanging out and listening to the rain fall.  Finally the Barney's got there and Toms was SO excited to see clark.  We played for a bit longer but then needed to head back into town for FHE at my Mom's house.  It was short and sweet, but well worth the nice weather.  You need a break from the heat every once and a while.

The rest of the weekend was spent with Tyler.  On Monday we went to the mall, yay!  He needed some shaving stuff from Nordy's so we had lunch at the cafe and walked around a bit of the mall.  Then we headed home to take naps and relax.  Later we stopped by Lenor's BBQ to say hello and then went to Red Robin for some dinner.  A great long weekend.  Love those!

Today is back to normal with lots of Pixar movies and even some lunch with Grandpa Tom.  Tonight I'm going to the Gammage to see "A Chorus Line" with all sorts of friends.  We all went in to get tickets for the season.  It should be lots of fun seeing everyone.

The Weekend Catch up!

Alright, so I have a lot of catching up to do from the weekend.  First on Thursday evening we went out with these guys and the Decrows to celebrate Molly's Birthday.  We had the always excellent Cafe Boa.  It was so delicious, always satisfying!  Thanks Tim for treating us, what a great way too celebrate the wonderful Miss Molly!

A few weeks ago I received my Better Homes & Gardens magazine in the mail and saw that Tyler's cousin Jacqui was featured in the back.  It is showcasing her bathroom that her and her hubby remodeled on a very tight budget.  How fun is that?  Way to go Jacqui.  I'm SO jealous!

There are also some fun pics of Toms around the house.  He got a huge goose-egg on his forehead the other day when we were at the Distribution center buying, well, you know what you buy there.  Anyway, when we came out, I noticed he had a huge bump on his forehead.  Poor guy.  He didn't even cry when it happened, so I have no idea how it happened.  Anyway it has since turned into a big bruise.  I promise, I really don't beat my child.

I also was able to order some fun Vinyl Lettering from Lolly Jane to make a fun new display on my kitchen walls.  Cute, huh?  I love them!  Thanks Kellie!

I also took a little moment to clean up my desk space.  I also bought a couple of paper holders that hang on the wall.  Isn't it cute!  I love a clean/organized work space!

Next on Friday I spent most of the day cleaning out and organizing all my cupboards and pantry's in the house.  I had already conquered the biggest one, so I wanted to continue with the rest.  I even went into my closet a bit and cleaned out all the clothing and shoes that I never wear.  It still looks full, but believe me, it's a lot spacier then it was.  I have a lot of junk!

I made labels for everything, I was inspired by this.  She's so good at that!

Anyway, it was a very successful day.  Glad to have most of it done.  Now I just need to get ride of everything that I've cleaned out and need to get ride of.  I'm thinking a private Yard Sale or something.  I'll let you all know.
