Children's Museum of Phoenix

This past weekend I was lucky enough to have Tyler working on projects all around the house so in order to keep him happy and the kids out of his way we went on a little field trip out to Phoenix.  I thought I had a groupon for the Children's Museum {found out once we were there that it was for a completely different museum, lame} but alas, did not.  So we payed our overpriced way to go inside for a little afternoon of fun.  I really do love this place!  I wish I could recreate piece's of it in my own home, I'm just crazy enough to TOTALLY have a noodle forrest in my living room!

Here are a few of the fun pictures I was able to capture from the day.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
The Trike Wash:  I love the reflective glass they have here.  I would build an entire house with this kind of glass as my windows!
Photobucket
This fun little fabric forrest was new to me.  I loved being able to find and make all sorts of different sentences with all the words.  So darling!
Photobucket
The Noodle Forrest: an all time favorite!
Photobucket
Max was having a great time at the race track.  He was right in everybody's way, but he didn't seem to mind.
Photobucket
Tommy was taking his cashiering job very seriously!
Photobucket
Search and Find:  another cool idea I want to recreate in our home somewhere.
Photobucket
The giant tree house fort thing.  The kids could walk all around this thing for hours.  As could I because it's big enough for adults.  A huge plus!
Photobucket
Max was loving the 3 year and under room, he would press a button and the doggie picture would bark at him.  He was in heaven {even though he really hates dogs}.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
This was fun to play with the sand and see the colors changing from underneath, however, I would NOT want this in my home.  Sand is not my friend!
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Art Studio: Max was cracking me up in his oversized smock.  He was walking all around the room not sure what was going on.  Finally we were able to direct him towards the paint and then, of course, we couldn't keep him away from it.  Needless to say, we didn't spend too much time in this area, due to Max' screaming to paint more!
Photobucket
A very creative moose in the Art Studio.  I love taking something and presenting it in a unique way.  This was made from sweaters and wood sticks.  Loved it!
Photobucket
One last group photo that I was trying to make look artsy {the random guy I asked to photograph it must not have had my same vision}.

Instagram October

So if you didn't already know, I'm kinda addicted to my iphone!  I could {and do} spend way too much time on it, searching my apps, checking my Facebook, Pinterest, Houzz... you get the idea.  However, my main obsession has got to be Instagram.  I'm hooked.  It's basically the only way I take pictures anymore.  My poor {might I add, lame} old camera has since got the boot.  So to catch the ole' blog up to speed, here's the month of October through the eye's of an Instagram.

Enjoy.

They still got it.

Maybe they can't figure out electronics, but they certainly are still in love {and a little feisty if you ask me}.  It's just cute, so watch!

Bingo Bango Bongo

As far as I know, the Dale kids came up with this game.  and once you start playing it you kind off have a hard time stopping.
Photobucket
So when you're driving in the car you can call yellow cars out.  The first car you say Bingo, the second Bango and the third Bongo.  Once you get to Bongo you get to slug someone.  Each car can only be counted once.  Whoever sees it first gets that car, and each person must each individually find all three before hitting someone {my sister Kiki was confused on this rule and hit me on my bongo}.

I felt as though I must explain this game as my son is in the car with different people who are not part of the family.  I'm sure he has confused many a driver with calling out Bingo about every three minutes while in a car.  More when it's time for school to let out {the buses, we let those count, some don't}{we also let any kids call any yellow car, no whining that so and so has called all of them, everyone can call every car, and no hitting in our car either.  I'm certainly not teaching Thomas that with all his little friends, way too many crying kids for me to do that}.

Anyway, it's silly but kind off fun.  And like I said I can't not recognize all the yellow cars on the road now.  It's fun, but can be a little distracting.

Thanks for the laugh, "Air Supply"rocks!

Have I ever mentioned I once met them?  I've got a picture somewhere to prove it.  Air Supply at Gila River Casino, doesn't get much cooler then that.

Take me out to the ballgame

A few weeks ago we got free tickets to the Diamonbacks game.  So of course, we went.
Photobucket

There was a huge group of us all in the nose bleeds, we were right behind home plate though, so being way up high wasn't all that bad.  Here are a few pics to remember the night.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
I spent most of the evening at the new kids play area.  Lola and Thomas were much more happy there then sitting in the seats.

Photobucket

Lola wasn't too sure about the big ball players.  I have to admit, they were a little freaky looking up close.
Photobucket

She was happy as a clam on Papa's lap.  We enjoyed Carolina's burrito's, ice cream, soda pop and of course, cotton candy.  Tommy's favorite.

Snow in Tempe

Last night we decided to go and hang out in the snow.  Every night at 7:00 Tempe Market Place has snow fall.  Toms has never been in snow and this may be the closest thing he gets for awhile.  It was fun.  Cold, for us Arizonans.  and not very crowded at all.  Perfect.

It looks like real snow in the pictures. At one point the kids even got down on the ground and pretended to make snow angels. There was no where near enough
snow to actually do that, but they were having fun and entertaining a lot of the mall goers.

After playing we got some pizza at Slices and played near the fire. It was a great
weekday activity for free. The kids were crazy, but that's expected.

Happy Holidays!

Arrested Development

Need I say more? Great, Great show!!!
Sad I only have 3 season's to watch over and over again!
But there is a movie in the works for next summer I think.
Unfortunately it will most likely be rated R. Sucks!

What's your favorite show?

Twilight Premiere

Photobucket
Alright, so I know there are MANY of you out there who are obsessed with this movie, and are counting down the days till it opens.
Well, my friend Molly and her Sister Tangie are toying with the idea of renting out a Theatre for the premiere on Thursday night's midnight showing at the Mesa AMC off of Stapley.  You in?  They are trying to see how many peeps they can get to go in on it with them to make it easier for all of us to see the movie and NOT have to wait in lines.  Plus you'll get to see the movie in a theatre full of fun friends.  So go HERE and leave Molly a comment letting her know if you are interested and how many tickets you want and let's make this happen.
I myself am looking forward to seeing a movie period.  It's been SO long since I've gone to the movie's, I don't really care what I see, just as long as I get to get out of the house and escape into a movie for two hours.  Even if it is at midnight.  Hey, I'm just getting started at that time of night anyway.
Hope to see you there!!!

Weekend Happenings

So it's a little late, but that's just how I roll.  Always a little late, but eventually I get it posted.
Anyway, on Friday we had a great evening with the girls at Bunko.  I just love hanging out and chatting til all hours of the night.  It was super fun and very yummy food!  Thanks Ashley for being such a gracious host this month!
Then on Saturday I had my Funky Silhouette class at Blissful living.  It went great, I had 5 very fun and darling students attend and this is what they all made.
funky sil class
So cute, huh!
Then Saturday evening I went to the broadcast with my Mother-In-Law & Sister-In-Laws.  It was a great broadcast, and very uplifting.  Then I headed home and picked up the boys to head over to Tempe Marketplace with most of Tyler's fam.  We had some yummy dinner at California Pizza Kitchen then walked around enjoying the scenery, people and fun.  Hope decided to buy Toms a new ASU jersey, Hat & Baseball/Bat for his Birthday gift.  He was so excited and looked so cute!!!
Saturday night fun
Then we went into Dave & Busters to play some fun games and celebrate Nate's Birthday.  He had some friends with him and they all had a blast.  It was lots of fun and finally we called it a night and headed home to go to sleep.  A very Busy day!
Then Sunday was just like any other Sunday.  Church then Dinner with the In-Laws.  This week it was at the Dale's casa.  Fun, but always crazy!  Toms just loves playing with all the kids.  He gets such a kick out of all the commotion!
Monday was Toms 2nd Birthday!!!  Yahoo, I can't believe how fast time goes!  He is getting so big and it's just so sad.  I wish he could just pause in all his cute stages but I guess that's the reason we have more kids, right. I spent the whole day baking and trying to get the house ready for the masses.  I invited both sides of the family over to celebrate over dinner and dessert. It is always crazy with both families together, but I know the kids LOVE it!  Especially Toms!  He doesn't know just what to think of it all, but he loves the attention!
Toms birthday 1
I was finally able to finish my fun Banner for the occasion, doesn't it look so cute!  and I finished making cupcakes and peach cobbler for all to enjoy for dessert.  Then around 6 the fun began.  We had over 24 adults & 30 kids in the house all at once!  WOW, that's just a whole lot of people.  But so much fun.
the gifts
We opened all his fun gifts and then blew open the pinata,
Toms birthday 2
Had cake & ice cream.  and just lots of great fun.  Thanks to everyone for coming and helping us celebrate this fun day for Toms.  He loves all his new stuff and the great memories that were made.
Wow, I've been sitting at the computer for WAY too long now.  I need to go and get something accomplished today!  Hope you had a great weekend too, and talk to ya soon.
Of course I have to post a video with all this other fun!  Enjoy.  The best part is in the beginning when I ask him what he wants for his Birthday.  I just love this kid!

Some of the highlights include all the kids looking for the Dwight Schrute head in the pinata.  Also Toms face when everyone is singing to him.  Then later we were taping the cars coming down the track to then play back the tape to see which car won in slow motion.  It was pretty funny to watch in slow motion.

Gymboree Play & Music

So, have any of you heard of this?  It is such a great place!  I guess it's been around for like three years {at least the close location}, and I haven't even heard about it till now.  Crazy, where have I been?

You are able to go and take all sorts of different classes with your little ones {ages 0 months to 5 years old}.  They have fun Gymboree play time classes where you play with all sorts of different materials that help encourage growth in sight, sound, touch and feel.  There are tons of mat's out for the kids to play on with stairs to climb and slides to play on.  Balls to throw, hurdles to run and so much more.  I have the opportunity to go and try it out for a few classes to see what I think, and I can't wait to go back!  It's just such a great concept with awesome instructors and a wonderfully big and CLEAN facility to play in.

I'll have more pics and info later, but just wanted to give you all a little update as to where I've been for the past week.  Go HERE for more info on the "GYM" and it's so great because the first class is FREE!  You can't beat that!

Thanks Cicily for taking pics and comin' with us!

Also, this was my 300th post!!!  Wow, I love this blogging thing!  Maybe I'll host another giveaway soon to celebrate, check back later for some fun!

HI!

Hope you are having a wonderful day!  We are!  We went to the park to play for a little bit with some friends then came home and cuddled on the couch.  Now Toms is getting into all my furniture in our family room and I'm sitting at the computer blogging.

We don't have any plans for tonight but tomorrow Toms is getting a shot.  poor little man.
But most of all I am looking forward to THIS tomorrow evening at THEIR house.  Can't believe it's the last one for a while.

Have a great day!

La Boheme

In December I had the privilege of going to The Orpheum Theatre to see Tyler's cousin, Lisanne Norman, in the Opera "La Boheme".  This is by far my all time FAVORITE opera!  I love the music, the story, it's simply gorgeous all around!  If you ever get the opportunity to see it, you must go!  Anyway, while we were there we ran into Cory from the FOX 10 morning show.  He was so nice, we had a fun conversation and of course I had to take a picture.  I'm finally getting to scrapping it.  Go HERE for Credits.

...and have a great day!
