Toms thinks it's his new club!

Well maybe this is telling us something? Will Toms be a golfer when he grows up? He sure did love holding Tyler's new golf club the other day. Don't worry Tommy it won't be long before you'll be playing next to your dad! I plan on having a lot of alone time when he is old enough.

Maybe he will actually be able to play and not just think he can play. Tyler said that he is starting to realize that he is not a very good player. I'm thinking lessons aren't too far off!

Aunt Kiki

I now she won't be thrilled with this picture but I want to let her know that I love her and am sad we don't get to see each other more.
We are sister's and the very best of friends. So close that words don't even need to be said most of the time, we will just know what the other one is thinking. She has always been so helpful to me in my new quest for motherhood and I never get to thank her for that. Thanks for being such a giving sister, one who would do anything for anyone at any time. You are a great friend to have and I love you! So does Toms, and he misses his Aunt Kiki!

P.S. To all my other siblings out there who are going to be offended that I didn't blog about them, I love you all too! Maybe someday I'll love you enough to blog about it! Just kidding, love ya!

It's Bathtime again!

I just can't seem to get enough pictures of him when he is taking a bath. I just love all those fat rolls and how his eyelashes all stick together when they are all wet. I could just eat him up, it's so cute!
He always wants to stick the wash cloth in his mouth and suck on it while we are bathing him. So instead we put it on his head. What a little chunk!
Don't pay attention to the nasty water. It looks much worse then it actually was!

Toms is reaching!

He is growing up way too fast! He started reaching for things the past few days. Here he is reaching for the camera. But tonight at a shower I went to someone he didn't know was holding him and he fell asleep on her chest. When he woke up he was a little startled and as soon as he saw me he saw me he totally started reaching for me. It was the first time he actually reached for a person, it was sooo cute! I can't believe he is already 8 months old! Today! What a sweetheart!

I actually made dinner!!!!

Nothing too special, just fajitas. But can you believe it? I actually made dinner! I was very proud of myself. I signed up on Sunday to feed the missionary's in our ward. Well I figured we would just get some take out or something. Well Tyler wanted me to make something with meat that would be a good meal for them. Not just spaghetti or something like that. Anyway, I went to the store and decided on Fajitas. I also had some rice and beans and chips and salsa. I even made grasshopper pie for dessert. Anyway, I figured I should blog about it cause it never happens! But now I can say that it sometime happens!

Well here are a few pictures to prove it.

Some Binky Bling!

So here's my latest and greatest. Sorry the pictures aren't the best. I featured my binky holders at a boutique on Tuesday evening and sold about 8 or so. Not too bad for my first try. Anyway, they are for sale if anyone is interested. They range between $10 and $12. Comment if your interested, or if you know of any cute places I could sell them. I think they are so fun. Especially some of the funky boy ones.

Love the Rock Star one!

My Mother's Day Gift!

I was totally surprised when I went to open my mother's day gift this past Sunday afternoon. Tyler had gotten me a new camera! I told him I wanted a new one but thought he wouldn't want to buy a new one cause I just got my old one 2 Christmas's ago. Anyway, he surprised me and now I have a fun new camera to take pictures and movie's with. Not to shabby for my first mother's day. It was very generous of Tyler and made me very happy! He actually had it wrapped and everything! Good job Babe!

More Bugs!

See I told ya!
Nasty! I am getting a little annoyed!

Tyler's Graduation!

It finally happened! I can't believe it's been 2 years. A short period of time as far as schooling goes, but long while your in it. Anyway, he graduated last weekend from the W.P.Carey MBA Program at ASU! Congratulations Babe! However, while this was going on, I was in the bathroom sick with this stomach flu that has been going around. Tyler and I both woke up around 5:00 a.m. that morning not feeling well. He started throwing up right away but I started to throw up when we were in the arena during the ceremony. Nothing worse then being sick in a public restroom! Anyway, Tyler started to feel well enough to walk and make it through the whole rest of the day, but I was to sick to go to the luncheon afterwards. Talk about bad timing! Whatever the case, at least he's finished with his schooling and now I will have my husband back at home 2 nights a week! Yahoo!
Toms was sleeping during the speeches, it was still a bit early for him. Usually we don't wake up until around 10. If I could have been sleeping I would have been too!
Here are some of his family members that came to the graduation. I was too sick to take very many pictures and didn't get any shot's of everyone at the luncheon afterwards at Cafe Boa. More people were able to come to lunch then to the ceremony. It is such a great accomplishment and we are all very proud of him! Now on to bigger and better things, right? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The Mother's Day Gift

So if your wondering why it's been awhile since I last blogged, this is it. I was working so hard all last week to finish our Mother's Day gift for my mother-in-law that I literally had no time for anything else. I was also bust working on making cards for all the primary children to sign and fill out for their mothers in primary. 70 of those to be exact. Tyler was Graduating on Saturday and I was just a busy little bee wondering around trying to make all the proper arrangements for that. Anyway, on Friday evening I was finally finished with the mother's day gift and this was the end product.
I have made about 6 or 7 of these cute pictures but none of them have ever taken me soooo long. I probably spent a good 15 to 18 hours on this one. We gathered over 200 different words or phrases that remind us of our mother and I had to find a way to fit them all inside the frame. Actually some of them didn't fit and I had to put a few on the back. She loved it and of course it made her cry. I was happy I did it for her cause it is such a fun thing to be able to glance at and see all the many ways her children love her. It is a way to show her that we don't take everything for granted and that we are aware of all that she does for us. Happy Mothers Day, Marilyn, We all love you!

My New Hat

Yo, Yo! Fashizzel my Nizzel!
How cute are little boys in baseball caps?
It's still a bit big, but I love it!

Toms, on the other hand,
would much rather be eating it then wearing it!

The Big Boy Car Seat

He is getting so big! We already needed to buy a big boy car seat for him. He is 7 and a half months old and like 22 pounds or something close to that. Wow, how they grow sooo fast! Hopefully he likes this better then the baby seat. Lately any time we put him in the car he starts to scream. The other night I was stuck in the car for about an hour and had to listen to his crying the whole time. Talk about your heart breaking and your anxiety level going sky high! Needless to say I was pretty irritable for the rest of the evening.
In the back ground you can get a glimpse at the $500.00 driver Tyler got as a Graduation gift from his sister. She is way too generous! Thanks Hope! He can't wait to get a chance to use it!
(Is it weird that I even gravitated towards the blue car seat in the store? I guess I have a blue fetish, could ya tell?)

Baths in the Sink

Another fun bath with the little boys in the sink. Don't look at all the bottles on the counter.

Just a few cute pictures. Same old story.

Bugs, Bugs Everywhere!

So, literally we are infested with these little roly poly bugs or some people call them potato bugs. I have killed probably 20 of them and found countless dead ones. I guess I need to be glad that they aren't roaches or mice. Anyway, it's still annoying. Don't pay attention to how dirty my floor is. I really need to hire someone to come over, cause we all know I'm not doing it. Just thought I'd blog about it.

More of the house!

Here is my kitchen. It is one of the things in the house that we really didn't do much to. We took the cabinets down off of the wall and down between the two rooms to help open up the space. As you can tell by now my accent color is powder blue. We even painted our ceilings that color. Here I have the kitchen decorated for Christmas with the ornaments in the glass canisters and the pink antique reindeer on the top shelf. I LOVE my blue kitchen aid and the pastel platters on display were from crate and barrel last summer. My glass jars are from Z-Gallerie and the white porcelain pieces are mostly from west-elm. My absolute favorite things in the whole house are my champagne flutes and water goblets shown here. The are pink and fabulous! I bought them at anthropologie when I was working there and got a great deal on $20 a piece glasses. I cherish them. You know if you come to my house and I have them set on the dinner table that you're special! They are my favorite pieces in the whole house! No joke!

This is part of my laundry room, I was able to get one wall in my house with wall paper on it. It just had to be somewhere my husband wouldn't be looking at. I love it! I know how hard and annoying it is to take wall paper down, but it's making a come back!!! There are so many cute patterns it was really hard to choose, but I love my choice. I only wish I could do more. Maybe someday I'll be able to talk my hubbs into it. The Soak letters were purchased at anthro, and the shelving is from ikea.
This is directly across from my washer and dryer, you've got to have your detergent look cute, right? Under the shelves is a trash can and a laundry basket, I am totally into organized, convenient cuteness!

This is our small kitchen nook. It sits between our kitchen to the right and behind me taking the picture, is our family room. I needed it to transition well with our kitchen and the family room. Beyond the door is our dinning/living room which will sit empty until we have our saving account built up again. I bought the chairs at ikea, the table and buffet at crate and barrel, and the light at anthropologie.

Anyway, here are just a few more areas of my house that I hadn't got to blog about yet. More to come later when things get a little more done. I have so many more things I want to do to the house, I'll have to show you in stages.

Sort-off Sitting up on his own

Well, we've been working on it, and he can finally sort-off sit up. He kind-off has the whole monkey arm thing going but if that's what works for him, oh well. I love this kid!
You gotta love all the drool!
(Notice all the pillows in case his little arm breaks under pressure)
