25 Tips For A Better Life

               1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day.   And while you walk, smile.  It is the                                  ultimate anti-depressant.

               2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.  Buy a lock if you have to.

               3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose                    is to __________ today.'

               4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is                                          manufactured in plants.

               5. Drink plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds &                      walnuts.

               6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

              7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past,                         negative thoughts or things you cannot control.  Instead invest your energy in the                        positive present moment.

               8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a                         maxed out charge card.

               9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

              10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

              11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

              12. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

              13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

              14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all                               about.

              15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

              16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this                                       matter?'

              17. Forgive everyone for everything.

              18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

              19. GOD heals EVERYTHING, in HIS time.

              20. However good or bad a situation is it will change.

              21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends will. Stay in touch.

              22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

              23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am                                   thankful for __________.  Today I accomplished _________.

              24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

My mom always sends me her forwards, this one was actually pretty good.
 Thanks Mom, Love ya!

Date night WITH all the kids!

photo shoot w/ friends
Yesterday we had the fun opportunity to go and take some pictures with Ashley and Molly {& their little ones}.  It was such a fun time, HOT, but fun!  These were some of the shots I took of all the action going on.  Can't wait to see how the REAL pics turn out, the one of the three of them together is a little preview from the shoot.  So Cute!

After, we all drove back home to change and get cooled off a bit, then picked up the guys and went to Culver's for some grub.
Dinner w/ friends
What a fun evening we had with these guys.  I just love having both of these darling families as such great friends.  What a HUGE blessing they all are in our life.  Love you guys and so glad we all get along so well and live so close!

So many fun times ahead!!!  Can't wait!

Fourth of July Photo Shoot

Uhm, are you kidding me with this!  How cute is this kid?  Ashley you've rocked the photo shoot once again, how lucky we are to have such a talented neighbor!

{But I know, it's not that the kid is cute or the background is great, it's ALL you! Right.}

Love it.

Gymboree Play & Music

So, have any of you heard of this?  It is such a great place!  I guess it's been around for like three years {at least the close location}, and I haven't even heard about it till now.  Crazy, where have I been?

You are able to go and take all sorts of different classes with your little ones {ages 0 months to 5 years old}.  They have fun Gymboree play time classes where you play with all sorts of different materials that help encourage growth in sight, sound, touch and feel.  There are tons of mat's out for the kids to play on with stairs to climb and slides to play on.  Balls to throw, hurdles to run and so much more.  I have the opportunity to go and try it out for a few classes to see what I think, and I can't wait to go back!  It's just such a great concept with awesome instructors and a wonderfully big and CLEAN facility to play in.

I'll have more pics and info later, but just wanted to give you all a little update as to where I've been for the past week.  Go HERE for more info on the "GYM" and it's so great because the first class is FREE!  You can't beat that!

Thanks Cicily for taking pics and comin' with us!

Also, this was my 300th post!!!  Wow, I love this blogging thing!  Maybe I'll host another giveaway soon to celebrate, check back later for some fun!

Mom & Me Beading Class!

Beads
Come and join me this Friday for a fun Mom & Me class at The Blissful Living Studio.  Katie & I will be teaching a jewelry making class where you and your little one will get to play with all these beads to create your own bracelet.  I don't know, do you think I have enough beads?  I know it's kind off an obsession{and this isn't even all of them, don't ask}.

The class starts at 10:30 am and will run until we finish or 12:00, whichever comes first.  The cost for the class is $25.00 per Mother/Child pair with a materials fee of $10.00 per bracelet.

Also, remember that we have THIS special going on right now at the studio that makes the classes even more reasonable to take.  Two for one!  Such a great deal!
Beads
Hope you and your little one can make it!  It should be lots of fun and again a great price for a class.  Plus you won't need to find a babysitter!

Plus, why don't I go ahead and throw a little RAK {random act of kindness} out there and give a few spots away!  Leave me a comment letting me know who you would like to bring to the class and why and I'll pick one {or maybe more} to take the class for just the cost of the materials fee.  $10.00 a bracelet, now that ain't bad!!!

Can't wait to hear from you, and hope you have a wonderful day!!
{Edited}Note: There is a Maximum of 2 kids per adult and no one younger then 6 years old, sorry, it just gets too confusing otherwise.

Back to School

Back to School Shopping
Today my wonderful Mother treated all her Grandkids to a shopping spree at Target for some Back To School Supplies.  The kids had a great time picking out their new backpacks and notebooks.  It's crazy how much stuff these kids need just to go to school!  Anyway, Toms didn't need anything for school so instead we purchased {via mom's credit card} a little golf set for him.  He loves it and won't put it down.  I fear for my house with those clubs, but at least he's getting the concept of golfing.
Thanks Mom for all the fun goodies and for the fun afternoon at Target.  You are just so amazing with all the things you do for all of your kids.  Love you!!!

I'm feeling it!

So today I feel like crap!  First time yet, now I know I'm pregnant!  Here we go, it's gonna be a long couple of months!  Wish me luck.

He loves playing with them, but I think I love them even more.  I want every single one.  I met Kristy and her girls at the mall today for a little bit and went into the Disney store.  I seriously wanted to buy every single cars toy they had there.  {and honestly, Toms could care less.}  Anyway, he has had fun this evening playing with them.

Today we were having a VERY lazy day around the house, so I decided instead of taking a shower that we would go outside and play in the hose.  Toms loved it and didn't want it to end.  I just LOVE little toddlers with only a diaper on.  It doesn't get any cuter then that!

{Note: We finally took a shower at 5:30.  Like I said, we were very lazy today!}

Dad's Day!

So, today is the anniversary of my Dad's passing, as well as his Birthday.  It's been 8 years since that low day in our life.  Wow, time flies!!!!  It's amazing how you adjust to the new life that lies ahead of you.  You have no choice but to move on from the tragedy {even though you so desperately want to hold on to the past}.  It's just crazy.  Right now life seems so normal without him.  I don't know when it got to this point, a couple years back I guess.  But now life is how it is.  If he were here life would be TOTALLY different, and that's just sad to think about.  That I have become so used to not having him here.  I still think of him from time to time, but not daily.  I guess that's my way of moving on and trying to stay strong.

Anyway, I miss him like crazy.  We always go out to celebrate this day with the family.  Last night we went to TexAz for dinner then back to mom's for some fun conversations.  {later we even hit our old time fav ice cream, Mary Coyle's}

I love my family!  We are all so different, yet SO alike!  We have such a great time together {probably because we see each other so infrequently that we don't have time to get on each other's nerves.}  We love to reminisce about the past and tell all the same stories over and over.  It's great!  Not sure that the in-laws all love the reminiscing part, but they never seem to complain.  It's just so fun to be together!  Even Trina was there for all the evening.  That was wonderful!  We don't get to see her enough.  I love you Trine!

Some of the fun conversation included what mom and dad did on their honeymoon.  That was so fun to listen to all their adventures that we hadn't ever heard before.  My mom told the story of how when they were getting married, everyone was waiting at the church for my Grandpa to get there {my Dad's Dad}.  Anyway, he was almost an hour and a half late getting there.  Mom said that she was waiting in the Relief Society room that had NO air conditioning.  Note: they were married on August 8th.  Nice and warm for them!
Anyway, it turned out that Grandpa was looking EVERYWHERE for his black patented leather shoes that go with his tux.  He couldn't find them ANYWHERE.  Finally he just put some other shoes on and came to the church.  Much to my grandmother dismay.  She looked at him and asked "What shoes are you wearing?!".  Anyway, it turns out that my Dad had gone into his closet and thought "Oh, these shoes will work." and totally wore my Grandpa's shoes.  How hilarious is that?  We had never heard that story before, it was so great.

So, Happy Birthday, Dad!  We miss you and love you to bits!!!  I feel your presence looking over me constantly and know you would be proud of me today.  I dream about you a lot so it seems like I see you all the time.  Keep busy and someday I'll see you again!  The Church ROCKS for many reasons, but especially for the plan of salvation.  Knowing that we are all sealed together for time and eternity.  What a wonderful blessing, one that helps me move on everyday with the faith and knowledge of all of us being together again.  I don't know what I would do without it!

Stay Strong and I love you!

Kiki's {Kristy} Baby Shower!

We threw a shower for Kristy last night.  It was a surprise shower and she was totally surprised!  I thought for sure that her kids would spill the beans, but nobody did!  It was perfect.  {oh, and I chopped my hair off, I love it!}
Here's the fun invite I made for the event.  I think it turned out so cute.

Toms was loving being a part of all the action.  and there was a LOT of action!  We had so many people show up it was great!
she got LOTS and lots of loot!
So many cute things, thanks to everyone who came and brought all the fun stuff to help her get ready.  and especially thanks to my Mom for all that she did.  Love you mom!

Weekend Happenings

The weekend started with the fun Golfing Tournament that the boys played in.
Here were the two teams.  They all had so much fun!  Dad and Dan won!  Congrats!
We went to the Diamondbacks game on Friday night to celebrate the Fourth with all of Tyler's family.  It was Toms first game, and he loved it!!!
I got tons of cute pics, so I had to post them all!
What a great night it was!  Tons of fun and great seats for the action.  What a great way to celebrate the day!  I highly recommend it if we play next year on the fourth.Saturday night we went to my mom's house for dinner and fun.  We played some card games and enjoyed each other's company.  Then about 8:30 we went out to the short 9 at Encanto Golf course to see some fireworks. This was how close we were to the action.  It was amazing!  As soon as the fireworks started Toms was freaking out!  Running around looking for someone he knew.  It was so sad but hilarious.  He finally calmed down and loved watching all the lights in the sky.  It was such a fun way to celebrate the fourth {For the second time}.  We didn't have to fight any crowds or wait in any lines.  It was perfect.
ALSO, we got this fun news this weekend too!

It's due in early March.  and were so excited!

I've been Scrappin it up!

This is one of my new favorites!  Very appropriate for this weekend!

Look at those two!  Doesn't get much cuter then that!

Another beach page.  I just love Tangie's beach kits!

This LO is for the upcoming challenge at the Loft.  It's a Christmas in July Challenge, using any kit that is "Not" a Christmas kit.  A bit challenging and way fun!

These are a new thing called ATC's {Artist Trading Cards}.  They are much smaller and are supposed to be made to trade with other artists.  I made a few to try it out, but I must admit it is not really my thing.  Maybe I'll do a hybrid project with them, but for now here are a few examples.
Some of the elements that they are making in the ATC kits are too die for, so even if I don't use them for ATC's I'll still get lots of use out of them in my regular pages.

On the list for us this weekend:

A movie tonight.  The Incredible Hulk.  It's looks pretty good even though they just made it!

The First Annual Wright Invitational.  Including: Dan, Spencer, Tyler, Jeff, Kenney, Bill, Dad & Tim.  Have fun boys and good luck!

The Diamondbacks game with all of Tyler's fam, with a great fireworks show to follow.  Air conditioning and fireworks!  Sounds good to me!

Dinner and swimming fun with my family on Saturday.  Followed by some Fireworks in Phoenix on the golf course.

Hopefully a couple of projects done around the house!!!!  I love you babe!!!

Teaching the lesson on Sunday in Nursery.

What are your plans?  Hope you have a Fun & Safe Holiday weekend!  Try & stay cool!
