Finally, The Party!!!

Alright, so many of you know that Molly & I threw a crazy fun Halloween party this past weekend.  We had such a great turnout with TONS of great costumes and lots of yummy food.  Thank you to everyone who brought something or donated some money to the cause.  It was lots of work but lots of fun in the end.  I was so sad because my camera was taken with Toms to the Babysitters house so I was unable to get any pics of the actual party.  That was very sad and frustrating.  So I'm looking for ward to all the blogs that will showcase some of the great pics from the party.

New Blissful Class

Christmas Banner
I've been working for the past few days on trying to get this banner made for the studio.  Didn't it turn out so fun!!!  I love it!  It will be a class at the studio in December.  Hope you can make it!!!

Fall Blissfest!

What a great day this was in old downtown Mesa.  We had such a great turnout and made some great money to go towards the NieNie Recovery Fund!  Thanks to everyone who helped out and all the TONS of donations that were made!  It was a huge success and just a fun day to be walking around and looking at all the fun.  The carnival was DARLING!!!  If you missed it, you missed a great event.  Thanks to Kristin at Domestic & Dan, I know they did so much to prepare for the day, and it showed.  What a great event, as always!  Here are some pics from my booth.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello.  It was a little warm, but still a great success!

Toms this past month

Since I've been fairly preoccupied with other things and have been ignoring the poor blog, I thought I'd catch up on all the fun misc. pics of Toms from the past month or so.
Toms in October 2008

A. Hope giving him a bath in the bathroom sink.  He's a little too big for this, we realized.
B. Just being silly.  He did this himself.  That kid just cracks me up!
C. Toms posing for the camera.
D. Toms playing with my waxing stuff and posing for a pic with Hope.
E. His P.J.'s were bugging him, so he wasn't very happy.  This is the annoyed Thomas I see most of the time.
F. Another silly pic.
G. Game day garb!
H. He wanted to be waxed liked everyone else, so I just did a dry run.  He thought it was so funny!
I. His new Favorite toy, and he loves playing with the race track on top of the coffee table, silly kid.
J. Just being Toms, posing for me on his chair.

What a great little kid, a pill, but still a great boy.

Arizona State Fair

In keeping up with fun fall traditions we headed over to the fair with my family on the opening night.  We must always get some fry bread and dollar night is the perfect time to do it.  Of course, most of the rest of the world was there that night as well, but we seemed to make it out alive.  The Fair
A. Toms & Buff riding a mini train.
B. All of us oogling over Joey's Lego collection he entered in the collection contest.  He even got second place, er, Jimmy got second place.  Jimmy loves putting Lego's together, what a big kid he is!
C. Waiting to go through the house of mirrors.
D. Jimmy & Joey posing in front of their collection.
E. The Collection of Star Wars Lego's.
F. Audrey freaking out while being lead through the house of mirrors, and Mom cracking up.
G. Nice photo op while waiting for the kids to ride the big slide.
H. Mom & Sweet baby Macy.  Her first fair experience!
It was fun but very crowded and gives us the right amount of white trash to last us until next year.  Ahh, how I love Downtown Phoenix, the old hood, home sweet home!

The Lake with Yaya!

The Lake
A few weeks ago now, Hope called up in classic Hope fashion and asked if we wanted to go to the lake with her in like an hour.  I've learned that this is the way hope works and that I needed to just bite the bullet and drop everything and go with her.  We had a great time.  Toms really was not sure about the whole thing, acting very nervous most of the time.  But we had a great time and we were even home in time for naps.  Thanks Hope for the fun day.  Toms just loves hanging out with his aunt.

A small update.

So last night in all my crazyness, I decided to pull my stitches out on my own.  It wasn't so bad.  I think it would have been worse if I had had someone else do it.  So finally, two weeks later the stitches are out and though I'm NOT totally healed at least I'm through with that drama.
Sorry I've been MIA lately, but my life has been a bit crazy.  I have been working like crazy trying to get everything ready for our Halloween party tomorrow night.  Last night the DeCrows came over to help finish the rest of the Haunted House.  It's looking so spooky!  I love it!  I've also been making TONS of phone calls to let everyone know what they can help bring to the party.  We are going to have a great turn out, I've already had around 60 couples RSVP.  Whoa!  Big party, but the bigger the better I say!
anyway, I have lots of fun pics from this past weekend also at the Blissfest.  I'll catch everyone up next week once things calm down a bit.  Til then hope you have a great weekend and I'll see some of you tomorrow night!  Can't wait to see all the costumes!!!!

Mason Lane

Could she be any cuter?
Mason!
Just a little something to make you smile!

Misc Things

First, look at this cute pic I just had to take of Toms in bed the other night.  He is such a stinker lately, moving all over the place before he can get comfy and fall asleep.  Anyway, it was so cute how he was ALL over Tyler, I just had to take a pic.
comfy?
Then, last night I had a private party at Blissful Living with the Sorority, Gamma Phi Beta.  They made a darling modge podge frame and they all turned out so cute.  Thanks Ashley for coming to help me out.  We had a big crowd but there was actually only half of the girls there.  We had like 15 not show.  So I wasn't as crazy as I thought i was going to be.
blissful party
and finally....Not for the weak of stomach, graphic pictures ahead....

Where were you at 2:00 this morning?

Well, I was on my way with Tyler & Toms to the Emergency Room.  Yes, that's right, the ER.  It's been a very long time since we've made a stop in one of those.

So here's the story.
Toms was up so late last night {12:30, finally he went down} but I had a bunch of random stuff to get done still.  So once I got him to sleep I came back into the kitchen to finish a few projects.  Well I always seem to stretch myself pretty thin and these next few weeks are no exception.  I have a class tonight at Blissful Living and needed to get a few last minute things finished for it.  I have a group of about 30 Sorority girls doing a modge podge frame project.  So I was trying to get a staple out of one of the frames {of course with my sharpest scissors, so dumb, I know!} and what was to happen next?
SLICE!
ER visit
Right through my first two fingers.  My pointer finger was pretty bad but the middle finger wasn't too deep.  I just knew once I looked at it that the cut was way too deep just to stay home and let it heal on it's own.
So there I sat, 1:15 in the morning, with a bunch of paper towels wrapped around my fingers and trying to figure out what in the world to do.  I knew I couldn't drive myself to the ER because I was focusing all my energy on making sure I didn't loose too much blood. So I had no choice but to wake the boys up and head to the ER.  Well, when I woke Tyler up he started to try and talk me into not going {always has money on his mind} but I knew I had to.  So he got on the computer to try and find an urgent care that was 24 hours.  While I sat at the kitchen table trying not to pass out from fear and blood going everywhere.
Finally he decided we could just go to the ER.  Thanks babe!  Way to act on your feet.  So we headed over to the new Hospital where the old Mesa General used to be.  We got right in and were able to be seen within a half hour.  Poor toms didn't know what was going on.
So I'm lying in the bed and the nurse is a little unorthodox.  Just very sarcastic and not very soothing.  So he wants me to just put my hand in side this bowl full of disinfectant and I hadn't been numbed yet.  So naturally I was a little concerned with the pain.  He was not worried one bit.  Anyway, that hurt!
So then the doctor came in and wanted to see the lacerations.  He started poking then and opening them in and out, OUCH!  and the doctor was also not very friendly.  He had lots of curly out of control hair and just NO sensitivity at all!  Very unfriendly.  So I guess that's what started the whole thing for me and for whatever reason, I just start bawling!!!  Like a freaking baby!  It was uncontrollable!  Tyler kept trying to clm me down, but I just couldn't stop.  It was so weird!  I've never had a broken bone in my body and I've also never had to have stitches, at least that I can remember.  When I was like 2 my thumb was caught in the door jam and had to get sewn back on.  But I was so young I don't remember a thing.  So this was a new experience for me.  I've been in the ER plenty of times in my life but it's always been for headaches or stomach issues.  So right away I get an IV started and don't have to feel a thing.  But for this visit there was no IV.  No drugs, no nothing!  I was a little freaked out and not enjoying it!!!

Then I found out that they numb the area that is being stitched up right in that area.  That was VERY unsettling!  as the doctor was doing it it was SSSSSOOOOOO uncomfortable and hurt like a mother that I just screamed at the top of my lungs.  and then I couldn't stop, the tears kept coming.  I was sobbing.  So sad!  I'm usually able to keep myself calm, but certainly not this time!

Anyway, as he was stitching I could still feel parts of it and that just hurt like a mother.  I decided right then and there, that there is no way I can do Child Birth without an epideral, EVER!  Sorry!  Not going to happen!
Anyway, then to make matters worse, I had to get a darn Tetnice {Spelling?} shot.  Anyway, finally about 3:00 am we were headed home.

I think I've learned my lesson, I don't ever want to do that again!  And now I'm slightly handicapped, I can't even put my bra on.  I have so much to do within the next few weeks and now I only have a hand and a half to work with.  Sucks!

Anyway, that was our fun filled evening last night.  Hope yours was a little bit better.  and my shot hurts like crazy and not to mention that I'm going to have to get these darn stitches out in 10 days.  I'll be going through this all over again.  Uhhh, the joys of being human.

Weekend Happenings

So it's a little late, but that's just how I roll.  Always a little late, but eventually I get it posted.
Anyway, on Friday we had a great evening with the girls at Bunko.  I just love hanging out and chatting til all hours of the night.  It was super fun and very yummy food!  Thanks Ashley for being such a gracious host this month!
Then on Saturday I had my Funky Silhouette class at Blissful living.  It went great, I had 5 very fun and darling students attend and this is what they all made.
funky sil class
So cute, huh!
Then Saturday evening I went to the broadcast with my Mother-In-Law & Sister-In-Laws.  It was a great broadcast, and very uplifting.  Then I headed home and picked up the boys to head over to Tempe Marketplace with most of Tyler's fam.  We had some yummy dinner at California Pizza Kitchen then walked around enjoying the scenery, people and fun.  Hope decided to buy Toms a new ASU jersey, Hat & Baseball/Bat for his Birthday gift.  He was so excited and looked so cute!!!
Saturday night fun
Then we went into Dave & Busters to play some fun games and celebrate Nate's Birthday.  He had some friends with him and they all had a blast.  It was lots of fun and finally we called it a night and headed home to go to sleep.  A very Busy day!
Then Sunday was just like any other Sunday.  Church then Dinner with the In-Laws.  This week it was at the Dale's casa.  Fun, but always crazy!  Toms just loves playing with all the kids.  He gets such a kick out of all the commotion!
Monday was Toms 2nd Birthday!!!  Yahoo, I can't believe how fast time goes!  He is getting so big and it's just so sad.  I wish he could just pause in all his cute stages but I guess that's the reason we have more kids, right. I spent the whole day baking and trying to get the house ready for the masses.  I invited both sides of the family over to celebrate over dinner and dessert. It is always crazy with both families together, but I know the kids LOVE it!  Especially Toms!  He doesn't know just what to think of it all, but he loves the attention!
Toms birthday 1
I was finally able to finish my fun Banner for the occasion, doesn't it look so cute!  and I finished making cupcakes and peach cobbler for all to enjoy for dessert.  Then around 6 the fun began.  We had over 24 adults & 30 kids in the house all at once!  WOW, that's just a whole lot of people.  But so much fun.
the gifts
We opened all his fun gifts and then blew open the pinata,
Toms birthday 2
Had cake & ice cream.  and just lots of great fun.  Thanks to everyone for coming and helping us celebrate this fun day for Toms.  He loves all his new stuff and the great memories that were made.
Wow, I've been sitting at the computer for WAY too long now.  I need to go and get something accomplished today!  Hope you had a great weekend too, and talk to ya soon.
Of course I have to post a video with all this other fun!  Enjoy.  The best part is in the beginning when I ask him what he wants for his Birthday.  I just love this kid!

Some of the highlights include all the kids looking for the Dwight Schrute head in the pinata.  Also Toms face when everyone is singing to him.  Then later we were taping the cars coming down the track to then play back the tape to see which car won in slow motion.  It was pretty funny to watch in slow motion.
