Happy Birthday Mom!

Well, yesterday was my Mother-In-Laws 60th birthday!  All of her daughters and D.I.L. decided that she would want to spend the whole day together.  So we started the day at Crackers for some breakfast.  Then headed over to The Orange Patch for a little window shopping.  Then decided to go to Home Goods to look around.  Then it was off to Old Navy and lastly they all went to the Movies to see Mamma Mia.  I ended up going home because I had a horrible Migraine.  So I went to pick up Toms and head home for a little snooze.

Later we all got back together, this time with all the boys to go out to dinner.  Thanks to American Transporter we were able to ride in style in a pimped out Escalade.  We went to Don & Charlies for dinner and had such a blast on the way.  Hope brought her Mamma Mia soundtrack to listen to on the car drive over and below I have a picture of Dane trying to figure out the CD system while lying on the floor.  Silly!  We decided to give Mom her gift before we got to the restaurant.  We all pitched in and was able to buy her one of Mark Mabry's "Reflections Of Christ" Prints.  They are stunning, each photograph.  I can't wait til I can afford one.  She absolutely loved it, it was the perfect gift for her!
Mom's 60th!
When we arrived at the restaurant there was this nasty thing that they served on the table's as a dip for the bread.  We couldn't seem to figure out what it was, so Tiff decided to try it.  She still wasn't sure what it was.  So then Jeff tried it and knew right away that it was Liverwurst.  GROSS!  I thought Tiff was going to loose it right there!  She was so grossed out that she had actually eaten that.  Besides that part of the meal, everything else was way yummy.  I split the Halibut with Marilyn and then had Creme Brulee for Dessert.  My FAVORITE!!!  Then we headed back home.  Toms was at the Dale's house so when we stopped there Toms was able to ride back to Granny & Papa's in the "Yimow".  He was so unsure of it.  He just sat on Papa's lap and would not move a muscle.  It was so funny.

It was such a fun day, celebrating her 60th Birthday.  Hope you had a happy day and now we are going to need to try and top this next year.  We should start planning now I guess.  Love you Mom, and Happy Birthday!

Our Little Turtle

Little Turtle
Here's another LO I did for Molly for her Funky Playground Challenge.  I am so sad to say that she didn't make it to the next round.  But She got another great offer somewhere else, that she is very excited about!  Good luck lady, you're amazing!

Just another Saturday.

Today was a busy one, & it's not even over!  Kristy is in the hospital as we speak working on delivering that sweet baby of hers.  Good luck, sis!  PUSH!!!
First of all, last night was great.  We went out to Dinner W/ My in-laws for Tyler's Birthday.  Morton's, Yum!  I had the King Crab Legs and Tyler had some sort of Steak.  I never know the difference.  I think it was a filet of some sort.  It was such a fun atmosphere, with impekable service!  We even saw THIS guy walk in and sit at the bar towards the end.  Not the most popular celebrity, but on TV non-the less.  Then we headed to Scottsdale Fashion Square to buy Tyler some new Black Dress shoes for his gift from his parents.  After that we headed to Scottsdale's Hot spot for Gelato to get a little treat.
PhotobucketThen we headed home to pick up Toms from the Dale's house.  Griff was the babysitter tonight, and he was so excited!  He is out little 10 year old nephew, who loves Toms.  He had so much fun playing with him all night.  We'll have to get him more often.  Plus since he's a little younger we only payed him $15 instead of the usual $20.  That's always a plus!
Next, we have our fun filled Saturday!  I woke up and FINALLY decided to conquer my pantry!  It's one of those jobs that has needed to be done for months now, but I never have the energy or drive to start.  So today I did!  While Toms was out side doing this...
Helping Daddy
and this...
Playing in the water
I went to work and here is my lovely pantry now!
pantry
Isn't it great!!!  I am so happy to have it all organized and clean.  It seriously just makes my day!  I keep going past it and opening the door to look at it again.  Silly, I know, but I love it when things are all in the right place!
Then I convinced Tyler to go with me to the Balloon Fly for Nie and her Husband.  We all met at the Temple grounds to to let our well wishes fly.  Look at the great turn out we had!!!
PhotobucketI pasted a bunch of my pics together to make one fun picture.  We love you Nie Nie and wish you well!  I was able to meet some of your sister's and your Mom.  And what a wonderful family you have.  It was so fun to see all the different people who were there to wish you both well.  You are seriously loved lady and have lots of people out there praying on your behalf.
After the Temple we headed over to one of our FAVORITE dinner spots.  Spinatos!  We always order the Spaghetti Calzone and go away so stuffed!  It is seriously so darn good that it's wrong!
Dinner @ Spinatos
Then we went over to Old Navy to check out any sale's that may have been going on.  I got a couple of shirts.  Nothing special, just comfy ones for around the house.  Then we headed over to my In-Laws to stop in and say hello for a minute.  And finally made it back home to relax.  Tyler just took Toms over to the Barney's house to see Clark.  They have been out of town for the past few days so Toms was dying to see them!  He asks for Clark like 24/7!
I decided to stay behind and do a little blog catching up.  So here I am.  Well, hope you all had a fun filled day.  And hopefully got lots accomplished.
I'll leave you with a funny Home Movie of Toms watching the ASU Highlights video of Sparky walking through the desert and crushing the UofA bus.  It's hilarious.  He was so freaked out!  I'm such a mean Mom!

Happy, Happy Birthday Tyler Dear!

Well, today Tyler's the big "31"!  I know not that big of a b-day but I was trying to surprise him by going all out for it.  Last night Toms & I went to his office {Thanks Spencer for letting us in} to decorate it all up with Balloons and pictures.

Tonight I am taking him to dinner @ Morton's Steakhouse with his parents.  Then we are going to hit the mall so his Mom & Dad can buy him some new Sunday Shoes for his gift.  It should be lots of fun!
I gave in last night and gave him his gifts a little early.  I gave him a book that I hear is great and from what I've read so far, it really is helpful.  And of course I had to pretend that that was his ONLY presents!  He's such a nerd and totally was all well then that's what you're getting for your b-day. yada, yada, yada!  Then I put the real gift out on the couch so when he sat back down from putting his "BOOK" away, he'd find another surprise waiting for him.  Well, much to his excitement it was THIS new watch he wanted.  It's so not his style, but I love that about it.  It is a little large on his girly wrists but I still think it looks great and he says it's growing on him.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Babe!  I love you and hope your day was a very special one!  Thank you for all that you do for Toms & me!  You make such a wonderful life for us and I appreciate all that you do for our little family!  The day isn't over, so hope the rest of it lots of fun as well!!!!

M.I.A.

Alright, I know everyone is probably thinking "What happened to Mimi?".  Well yes, I'm still alive, I've just been a little unmotivated lately.  Due to the first Trimester and all.  But slowly I plan to get back in the swing of things.  Promise!
  • A lot has been happening but not much blog worthy stuff.  I had to captain our Enrichment activity last week (The craft part!), so that was certainly a lot of work.  But it turned out great and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
  • I've also been working on organizing the house and cleaning out cupboards and pantries.  Still working on the food pantry, and not looking forward to it!
  • We've watched a lot of the olympics!  Some close races, very fun to watch and be a part of Phelps making history!
  • I'm also working on throwing my friend Jill a baby shower for her 4th baby who is finally going to be a boy.  I made the invit's last night and they look SO cute!
  • I've been eating a lot!  If I stay hungry for too long then I feel even worse so I've been keeping the cereal factories in business!
  • Toms is talking up a storm.  He repeats just about anything you say and it's just too cute.  Last night he was up until a record breaking 1:15 am!!!!  Pill!  While we were lying in my bed to try to get him to nod off, I looked over at him and told him that I loved him.  He looked back up at me and FINALLY repeated "I Love You" back!  This is something I work on everyday, I mean I say it to him all the time and he never repeats it back, as hard as I try.  But last night he repeated it, it was so perfect.  I felt all warm and fuzzy inside and suddenly the fact that he was still awake at 1:00 in the morning wasn't so bad anymore.
  • I've been working on new Binkie clips to stock up on.  I've made some really cute ones, I just love the way they turned out.  I really need to get pics up of all them so I can sell them on my blog, but that's a whole other adventure that will be left on my to do list for now.
  • Kristy is just about ready to pop!  I can't wait for a new little baby in the fam.  Especially her babies, I just love those kids!
  • We went to dinner the other night with my fam for all the August birthdays and while we were there we found out that Amber was pregnant!!!  YEAH!  She is due just after me, how fun will that be?  I'm so excited for them.
Well, that's all my brain can handle right now.  I need to ease myself back into the groove of this.  Hope all is well for everyone else.  I LOVE getting comments, so leave me some love.  I've missed that aspect of not blogging for the past couple of weeks.  Have a great day and hopefully I'll be back soon!

Prayers needed, Pass it on!

Well our sweet NieNie needs as many prayers as possible within the next couple of months.  I was so saddened by the news of their crash and have been thinking of them ever since.

We are ALL praying for you guys and hope for a speedy recovery, that hopefully is not too painful.  We are also sending lots and lots of kisses and hugs to your little ones in their time of need.

Get well soon, we love you and miss your posts already!

Scenes from the day

yougurt mess
Well we started out making a very nice mess for me to clean up...
playing in the hose
Then I decided to just let Toms clean himself up with the hose.
rockin 1
Then Toms wanted to Rock out with his new toy he got from his Grandma Ro.
Rockin 3
He is such a crack up with this thing.  Here are some home movies of him playing.  How does he know to move and dance like that?  My favorite part is at about 1 minute and 20 seconds into the movie, his face is classic!
