What once was lost...

Has now been found!  I'm an idiot, I've been looking for my keys for over a week now and little did I realize that had I just looked a little harder in my diaper bag I would have been able to find them. Isn't it amazing how things can get lost in diaper bags.  And I would have sworn that I checked the bag thoroughly!  Again, I'm an idiot!

Glad they are back though!  YEAH!

Can you imagine?

So I'm not saying I ever want this much stuff in a studio but I am jealous of how organized she is!  I just want to be able to organize everything and sit back and look at it all.  That's the fun for me!  Go HERE to see the craziness, thanks tang for showing this to me!

President Gordon B. Hinckley, June 23, 1910 – January 27, 2008

This wonderful man has been such an amazing influence on me for the past 12 years of my life.  He has been a strength for the church and all it's members.  Working so hard in building up the church here upon the earth.  He oversaw more construction of temples then any President before him and what a blessing that has been in the lives of members all around the world.  He will surely be missed, his sweet spirit, witty sense of humor and amazingly strong testimony.  What a wonderful President to have had lead us through these past 12 years of our lives.  I will always hold a special spot in my heart for him.  He was the one that I grew up with, through High School, my single years, and especially through my father's passing.  What a wonderful man, how exciting it must be to be in heaven tonight!  What a wonderful reunion between he and his wife.  May he rest in sweet peace.  We love and will miss you President Hinckley.
Gordon Bitner Hinckley (June 231910 – January 272008) was the fifteenth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from March 121995 until his death. He was the oldest person to preside over the LDS Church in itshistory. As president of the LDS Church, he was considered by its members to be a prophet, seer, and revelator. His presidency was noted for the building of new temples and the creation of the Perpetual Education Fund. Hinckley holds the record for dedicating the most LDS Church temples and has dedicated more than half of the current LDS Church temples.

As president of the church, Hinckley was also chairman of the Church Board of Education and Board of Trustees that governs theChurch Educational System.

I've been dying to turn this
Into this!
How FAB would that be?  I want to put it in my laundry room.  Or maybe my studio once we remodel it.  I love it though.  I may even figure it out and then teach a class on how to make one.  I have millions of these kinds of beads and stuff.  It would be so fun!  Who's in?

I've been dying to use this kit!

It's called Chirp and it's by Penny Springmann.  This is the first thing that I have purchased in way of digital scrapbooking supplies.  I just had to have it, I love the colors and LOVE the page I created from it.  Happy "Early" Valentine's Day!  Doesn't this just get you in the mood?

Russo & Steele Car Auction

This year we were able to take ONEHM & her DH to the car auction put on by my Aunt & Uncle. Unfortunately the Decrow's weren't able to make it, they were missed. It was a fun evening though walking around looking at all the 500 cars they had this year. It was freezing so we were able to bundle up and have lots of fun. It's a family affair for me. My grandparents are always there, sitting on the front row watching the auction block.
My Grandpa Messana always makes his famous cream puffs and canoles for the special guests. They are to die for if you ever get a chance to have one, consider yourself privileged. It was very sad though because by the time we got there he had run out of them for the evening. We were all a little disappointed.
Here I am on the front row with Kristy, Grandma Messana, ME, My Mom and Linda (one of the bidders wives & a close friend of the family). Linda and her husband have gobs of money and have offered their house in Monterey for us to come and vacation in. They are incredibly generous and perhaps this summer we may need to take them up on that.
Here's a picture of the auction block. We were sitting up in the bleachers watching the show. A very fun night filled with lots of exhaust and loud engines. Reggie Jackson was even in the crowd, he brought a car of his own to the show. Usually he shows his collections at Barrett Jackson but has made the switch to our side. Hee, Hee

Another Page & Gratitude

Here's another layout.  This is a pic of us on New Year's Eve.  It's not the best picture, a little blurry, but I had to work with what I had.  I love this man!  He's such a wonderful husband, he works so hard for our little family.  He trustworthy, loving, fun, hardworking, supportive and just an all around good guy.  He accepts and fulfills any calling given to him and never questions why.  He makes me laugh with his silly antics and funny sarcastic remarks.  He's such a stinker sometimes but that's why I love him.  He is so sweet with Toms.  It's my favorite time of day when he comes home and goes right to the boy to play and give loves.  He's definitely got a soft spot for him.
The other night they fell asleep on the couch in each other's arms.  I had accidentally made a loud crashing noise as I was trying to clean some toys up.  They both, simultaneously, looked over to see what happened, then rubbed there eye's and fell back asleep in this position.
I was dying, it was the cutest thing I had ever seen.  I just love these boys.  They are the light of my life!  I couldn't imagine life without them.

All in all, Life is great!

Happy Birthday Sweet Blog 'O Mine!

So here we go, new year new name!  I chose this name simply because it's Tyler's new favorite quote (Thank you Michael Scott!).
Anywho, I'd like to give a shout out to blogs.  What they mean to me and how much fun it's been having one and reading others in my life.  I can't imagine all the information I have been able to learn from others posts.  I would have never know so much of it without this forum.  It's really helped me keep in touch with girlfriends that I wouldn't normally talk to on a regular basis, as well as meet new friends that I would have never had relationships with otherwise.  It's been the ONLY journaling that I have done in a good 5 years and for that I feel better about myself.  I know that someday my children will be able to look back to when they were born and see all this fun stuff that was going on in our lives.  I would never have kept a journal this detailed, so for that I am grateful.  I know there are some who snuff the whole blogging thing, thinking it's a waste of time and a little too risky to put on the internet, but to those few I say KISS IT!  Someday they may catch on and someday they may be proven right when I have identity theft brought on by my blog, but until then I enjoy doing it and I enjoy keeping in touch with friends that, like I said, I wouldn't normally keep in touch with otherwise.  You can live your whole life afraid of using the resources we have in this modern day or you can make great use of them and get on board.  Sure there's a chance that something bad may happen, but there's also a chance that I may get robbed at Walmart.  I say live your life and focus on the positive and come what may.  The Lord knows what's going on and if that's what's meant to happen to me then so be it.  Nothin' I can do about it.
Anyway ,I love my blog, I wish I could spend more time on it, but it's great when I get something posted and I don't let it rule my life when I don't have time for it.  We have the perfect relationship.  It's never offended if I ignore it but it's always there for me when I need it.  I just hope that each of you reading this realizes how wonderful and fun this blogging thing is.  It helps me vent to those who care to know what's going on in my life instead of calling one person at a time to explain every little detail of every little story to.  In a way it's a time saver.  I guess I can look at it that way?  Right?
So a toast to the blog!  Here's to you and all the information you contain. All the pictures, stories, links and movies you hold.  Thanks for being such a great part of my days,

Salute'!

{Make sure and leave me some love, there will be a gift, I mean it is a birthday and all!}

Scrapping Fool & other k-oce (So NOT the correct spelling, but sound it out, you get the point!)

Sorry this is the only thing I've been posting about lately. It's probably very boring for those of you who don't digi scrap. I'll get back in the saddle soon, I promise. The new year brings a lot of work if you are in primary, so that's where most of my time has been spent and I'm still not done. Crazy how many different things need to be done then redone and even done again. I'm getting a little burnt out but it's nice to get it all done and organized, for a while at least. Enjoy the pages for now. These are a few of my favorites. I think I'm getting used to the whole idea therefore I'm taking a few more chances on what I do and how much I add. There are some girls out there that are wicked creative with theirs. Hopefully that will be me as I continue on and keep practicing.

This week is going to be a crazy one for me, my sister and I are helping our Aunt out in her office. They own and operate THIS and it's going on this weekend and so we are going to be in the office taking phone calls and doing stuff to help out at the home base. Wish us luck cause we will both have our kids with us. It's definitely going to be a challenge with Toms to see how he behaves in one space all day and where he will take his nap. I'm sure we'll live and at least we will be getting paid for it. So again wish us luck. I may end up calling some of you if Toms doesn't cooperate. Any takers?? Anyway, blogging will be slim this week because of it, but I'll try to get a post up on Tuesday because that's my blog's 1 year birthday! Yehaw! I can't believe I've been journaling for a whole year. Way to be me!

Keep in touch ya'll!!! Credits for scrapping seen HERE!
