What a fun day it was.  We started the day off at Tyler's family's lunch.  His Aunt Mar & Uncle Gary hosted it at their house this year and it was lots of fun seeing everyone and getting a chance to visit.  They have a new BIG house that was perfect for such a large gathering of people.  Toms just loves playing with all the kids and walks around like he owns the place, it's hilarious!

Then, we headed out to Phoenix for my side of the family.  My Mom hosted it at her place this year, it was a packed house full of lots of kids and just as many adults.  We had a few families come in town for the weekend so it made it fun to see everyone.  I love just sitting back and visiting with everyone.  We enjoy lots of laughing and even a little crying.  We had a few political conversations going on that made such a diverse group a little uncomfortable but that's what these occasions are all about.  Luckily no one went home angry, just lots of fun all around.  After everyone left Jon, Kristy, Mom, Trina, Tyler & I were able to go to the movies.  Thanks you Chloe for baby-sitting Toms.  We saw "Four Christmases", very cute and entertaining.  The perfect ending to a long fun holiday.  Toms was exhausted and crashed as soon as we got home.  I sat in the back seat with him on the car ride home to make sure he didn't fall asleep until we got home.  He had so much fun and loves a party.  He's a lot like me in that way.

We are just so grateful that we have ALL of our family here in town to celebrate these fun occasions with.  What a HUGE blessing it is to enjoy each others company whenever we want.  I am also SO grateful that I don't have to be the one to cook!!!  I absolutely LOVE the food but don't ever want to be in charge of it all.  We had to bring jello and pop to the two different gatherings and that is enough for me.  Thank you to everyone else who cooked so hard and made such yummy food for us to enjoy.  I've been eating leftovers for the past few days and wish I had even more to nosh on.
