President Gordon B. Hinckley, June 23, 1910 – January 27, 2008

This wonderful man has been such an amazing influence on me for the past 12 years of my life.  He has been a strength for the church and all it's members.  Working so hard in building up the church here upon the earth.  He oversaw more construction of temples then any President before him and what a blessing that has been in the lives of members all around the world.  He will surely be missed, his sweet spirit, witty sense of humor and amazingly strong testimony.  What a wonderful President to have had lead us through these past 12 years of our lives.  I will always hold a special spot in my heart for him.  He was the one that I grew up with, through High School, my single years, and especially through my father's passing.  What a wonderful man, how exciting it must be to be in heaven tonight!  What a wonderful reunion between he and his wife.  May he rest in sweet peace.  We love and will miss you President Hinckley.
Gordon Bitner Hinckley (June 231910 – January 272008) was the fifteenth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from March 121995 until his death. He was the oldest person to preside over the LDS Church in itshistory. As president of the LDS Church, he was considered by its members to be a prophet, seer, and revelator. His presidency was noted for the building of new temples and the creation of the Perpetual Education Fund. Hinckley holds the record for dedicating the most LDS Church temples and has dedicated more than half of the current LDS Church temples.

As president of the church, Hinckley was also chairman of the Church Board of Education and Board of Trustees that governs theChurch Educational System.
