My To Do List

I've got a list that goes on FOREVER of things I'd like to get done before this sweet baby comes, so I've been working on checking all the random little things off.
Here's what I've done so far.
Organize my Junk Drawer in the Kitchen:
PhotobucketOrganize and clean the Kitchen Cabinets:
Photobucket
PhotobucketMake this cute floral arrangement out of stuff I already had {just wanted to get it done, one of those things that have been on the list forever!}:
PhotobucketVacuum all the little nooks and cranny's around the house, including:
  • laundry room floors and in between the washer & dryer
  • cleaning closet floors
  • pantry floor
  • front entryway closet
  • cabinets
  • fireplace
  • front entryway
I've also been working on gathering all the random stuff we don't need anymore to have a little "Friends" yard sale.  I've actually got a lot of stuff so hopefully I'll be having everyone over to dig through it all soon.
Photobucket
There are actually 4 of these chairs, and 2 arm chairs.
Photobucket
I have a lot of random purses, here are just a few.
Photobucket
Lots of home decor, including this vintage poster.
Photobucket
These are lamp shades and some pillow covers.  Each brand new, they never worked for what I wanted them to.  Also a lot of fun clocks.
Photobucket
This is a pic of a lot of the stuff I've been gathering.  I also have a whole closet full of old clothes from when I was a little skinny mini.  I figured I'll never be that small again so I may as well sell the fun clothes I have before they are completely out of style.
I've also been working like crazy on "The Book".
PhotobucketEvery year Tyler's cousin has me make each of her girls a scrapbook of their lives.  A different girl each year.  This year Ali, the daughter I am on {who happens to be a good friend} has so much stuff that I am actually making TWO scrapbooks for her.  I finished the first one for Christmas and am supposed to have the second one done by Valentine's, but I'm not sure that's gonna happen.  Like I said I'm working like crazy to get it done.  This is a big part of the list!
I also made a guest sign in book for a good friend who's husband suddenly passed away.  It turned out very nice and she was so grateful, here's a picture of the outside:
Photobucket
I've also been collecting all sorts of goodies for the babies room.  This:
Photobucketis from my mom's house.  I plan on painting it and hanging it somewhere in the babies room.  Probably over the crib.
I also wanted to get my front entryway table decorated, I usually change it out with each season but I don't see that happening for awhile so at least it has something neutral til I get back on my feet:
PhotobucketAs well as my Kitchen buffet done:
PhotobucketWhile working all this fun stuff I found Toms laying in front of the TV like this:
Photobucket
PhotobucketSilly Kid!  He's so great to let me work while he just sits and watches his shows.  I also took a few moments to clean and organize all his toys, again!  It seems like that needs to happen all the time.  It never gets taken off the list, like laundry and dishes.  Always something that needs to be done.
WOW, this was a very LONG post!!!  Hope some of you made it to the end.  Wish me luck because my list is still very long, and I'm praying I can get the energy up to finish it all.  Have a wonderful day, and...
also, let me know if you are interested in being invited to the "House Sale" when I have it.  The more the merrier!!!!

Christmas Memories: Day 5

Today was a very uneventful day.  Toms & I just laid around not doing much.  We watched Finding Nemo and I worked on a Christmas Card for my Sister-In-Law.  Toms played outside a bit and then started to get mad at me for not coming outside with him.  So after about an hour of him whining I decided it was time for a nap.  He gets so mad when I start making a bottle, he knows what's coming.  But as soon as I wrestle him into the bed room he's happy as a clam and falls right to sleep.  When we woke up Tyler was home and played with Toms while I did a little crafting.  Then the boys went to the Mountain View Football game while I stayed home and worked, worked, worked!  I have a list of silly things that I need to get done in the next few weeks and I've hardly even started on any of them.  I find many distractions throughout the days.  Whoops!
Anyway, I got lots done around the house and getting things organized for all the stuff I need to do.  I started some laundry, made a few Christmas gifts, semi organized my studio, cleaned off our kitchen table {it's been filled with random projects for months now!}, got some kits ready for my classes next week and lots of other stuff.  Anyway, I am now going to go and hang out on the couch with my boys and relax a bit.  Hope you had a wonderful day!

A BIG Project!

Toms room has been so unorganized for so long, so on Friday during the day I decided to take on this challenge.  I have no idea why, but I just wanted to get something accomplished in the way of organizing/cleaning.  So I took EVERY single piece of toy that Toms has and dumped them all on the floor of his bedroom.  WOW!!!  He has a lot of crap!
Daily ProjectSee!
Anyway, it all got cleaned up and organized into all the correct bins and proper spaces.  It felt so good at the end of the day.  And he has actually has kept it clean since.  YEAH!  Mission accomplished, at least until the cousins come over again.  Doesn't it feel good to have things clean though, that's one of my favorite feelings is knowing that my house is in order.  ahh, now just for the rest of this place!

Just another Saturday.

Today was a busy one, & it's not even over!  Kristy is in the hospital as we speak working on delivering that sweet baby of hers.  Good luck, sis!  PUSH!!!
First of all, last night was great.  We went out to Dinner W/ My in-laws for Tyler's Birthday.  Morton's, Yum!  I had the King Crab Legs and Tyler had some sort of Steak.  I never know the difference.  I think it was a filet of some sort.  It was such a fun atmosphere, with impekable service!  We even saw THIS guy walk in and sit at the bar towards the end.  Not the most popular celebrity, but on TV non-the less.  Then we headed to Scottsdale Fashion Square to buy Tyler some new Black Dress shoes for his gift from his parents.  After that we headed to Scottsdale's Hot spot for Gelato to get a little treat.
PhotobucketThen we headed home to pick up Toms from the Dale's house.  Griff was the babysitter tonight, and he was so excited!  He is out little 10 year old nephew, who loves Toms.  He had so much fun playing with him all night.  We'll have to get him more often.  Plus since he's a little younger we only payed him $15 instead of the usual $20.  That's always a plus!
Next, we have our fun filled Saturday!  I woke up and FINALLY decided to conquer my pantry!  It's one of those jobs that has needed to be done for months now, but I never have the energy or drive to start.  So today I did!  While Toms was out side doing this...
Helping Daddy
and this...
Playing in the water
I went to work and here is my lovely pantry now!
pantry
Isn't it great!!!  I am so happy to have it all organized and clean.  It seriously just makes my day!  I keep going past it and opening the door to look at it again.  Silly, I know, but I love it when things are all in the right place!
Then I convinced Tyler to go with me to the Balloon Fly for Nie and her Husband.  We all met at the Temple grounds to to let our well wishes fly.  Look at the great turn out we had!!!
PhotobucketI pasted a bunch of my pics together to make one fun picture.  We love you Nie Nie and wish you well!  I was able to meet some of your sister's and your Mom.  And what a wonderful family you have.  It was so fun to see all the different people who were there to wish you both well.  You are seriously loved lady and have lots of people out there praying on your behalf.
After the Temple we headed over to one of our FAVORITE dinner spots.  Spinatos!  We always order the Spaghetti Calzone and go away so stuffed!  It is seriously so darn good that it's wrong!
Dinner @ Spinatos
Then we went over to Old Navy to check out any sale's that may have been going on.  I got a couple of shirts.  Nothing special, just comfy ones for around the house.  Then we headed over to my In-Laws to stop in and say hello for a minute.  And finally made it back home to relax.  Tyler just took Toms over to the Barney's house to see Clark.  They have been out of town for the past few days so Toms was dying to see them!  He asks for Clark like 24/7!
I decided to stay behind and do a little blog catching up.  So here I am.  Well, hope you all had a fun filled day.  And hopefully got lots accomplished.
I'll leave you with a funny Home Movie of Toms watching the ASU Highlights video of Sparky walking through the desert and crushing the UofA bus.  It's hilarious.  He was so freaked out!  I'm such a mean Mom!

Organized Bliss

I finally took a moment to organize Toms bedroom.  We have had so many parties here lately that the room was a disaster area.

So let me just enjoy this part of the house, even if just for a few short hours.
